February 2010	February is National Pet Dental Health Month so our February newsletter is all about dental health. We also report on a call we got from Starline Nunley of the Support Military Working Dogs organization.
January 2010	This month we again offer the story of the Rainbow Bridge, discuss pet loss, New Year's resolutions, welcome Liz Ryan, bid farewell to Audra Hanthorn, and tell you about a group working to bring adopted dogs and cats home with the soldiers.
December 2009	Update on Canine Influenza Virus and Swine Flu in pets, holiday safety tips, fleas are still around in winter, and "Bark10-4" a program to equip all fire departments nationally with pet-friendly oxygen masks

April 2009	This month we celebrate Earth Day. We also introduce a new flea control called Comfortis, the "Eat Slow" dog food bowl, and talk about a new screen for heart disease.
March 2009	As pet owners begin to prepare for spring gardening, we present a list of potential hazards for your pets in and around the garden. And we list pet products on the peanut product recall.

January 2008	This month we talk about a very difficult subject, euthanasia. We honor all the families who have lost a pet in 2007 with our annual reprinting of the Rainbow Bridge. And we bid goodbye to Jamie Kissling.
December 2007	Long-time employee, Rita Miller, has retired. Getting a new pet for Christmas? Here are some suggestions for introducing a new pet into your household. Einstein has more holiday safety tips.

August 2007	This month we highlight some of our dental cases, report a new pet food recall, discuss the economics of pets, talk about cherry pit toxicity (among others), and report some sad news.
July 2007	Seasonal hazards including mushroom toxicity and firework safety are covered this month. Dog bite and how to help prevent it and some fun information on OLD cats are also included.

June 2004	This month: The most popular “breed” of cat, poisoning in pets, a skunk remedy recipe, and new Weight Loss Champions.
May 2004	This month we are going to start a new series of articles about breeds of dogs, cats, etc. We begin with the Labrador Retriever. We also talk about...Search and Rescue Dogs.
April 2004	This month: Ectoparasites of dogs, cats, and exotic pets is our primary topic. If you stopped your heartworm preventive medication for the winter, now is the time to start again.Introducing Cypress and Escher Mawhinney. FInally, another great incentive to stop smoking.
March 2004	This month we highlight a serious condition known as pancreatitis, an inflammatory process of the pancreas. We congratulate our newest weight loss stars, and March means we need to get geared up for heartworm, flea, and tick season.

December 2003	This month: Hepatic Lipidosis in cats, December's weight loss stars and finally, some cold weather notes from Nya and Einstein.
November 2003	This month: A problem we see a lot of every fall - "itchy" dogs, next we introduce our weight loss stars program and our first winner, and finally two more pet treat recipes.
October 2003	This month we discuss a new medication for pain control in dogs, Feline Diabetes Mellitus, a difficult but manageable disease, and finally...we won again!!
September 2003	September is Senior Pet Health Month. Have a little fun with our "word find" puzzle and we include two more recipes for pet treats.

July 2003	This month: Cushings disease, a serious endocrine imbalance in dogs. In the last of our series on staff pets, we introduce you to Alice Sparks, and we welcome Jane Whitt.
June 2003	In our continuing effort to inform you of diseases we see in our pet population, this month we will describe Feline Hyperthyroidism. We'll discuss flea, tick, and mosquito control, and diseases transmitted by these pests. Finally, we reveal the results of an interesting survey from AAHA.
May 2003	This month we introduce you to Erin Bell's family of pets. We cover two problems we see pretty commonly in ferrets. We are happy to announce there is another new member of our "family". And last, we bid a fond farewell to two of our veterinary student staff members and we welcome two new veterinary students.
April 2003	Nya and Einstein's column returns this month to highlight prevention of heartworm, and control of fleas and ticks. We have a new item to add to our line of oral health products. Our "disease of the month" is hypothyroidism. Finally this month we will introduce you to the pet family of Lisa Bennett.
March 2003	This month we will highlight Sylvester Pepper. Stephanie, his "mom" is our receptionist. Also this month we will begin a series of articles about different diseases or disease processes. We begin with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). We share a humorous "letter to God" from a dog. And last, but most certainly not least, we welcome Matthew Joseph Bell.
February 2003	This month we will discuss pet dental health and the effect it can have on your pet's overall health. We also introduce you to the pet family of Beth Watercutter, one of our technicians.
January 2003	This month we will discuss the difficult topic of pet loss: How to know when it's time to say goodbye, euthanasia, and tips on dealing with grief of losing a pet.
December 2002	This month we will discuss preventable canine diseases, new products introduce Tory Price, discuss agility training and competition, and remind you about winter health hazards for your pets.
November 2002	Our newsletter this month discusses preventable feline diseases, a new line of natural pet foods Hills' Pet Nutrition has released, information about pancreatitis and an article on conformation dog shows.
October 2002	This month we discuss pet allergies and treatments, announce the relocation of MedVet and CVES, introduce the many numbered pets of the Hiser family, and share some fun news about EHVS.
September 2002	Senior Pet Health Care month, our series on staff pets continues with Babe, and we introduce our newest employee and give a brief bio on our veterinary students.

December 2001	In our continuing series about exotic pets, we cover care and feeding for various exotic mammals: sugar gliders, rabbits, ferrets, and hedgehogs. We also discuss important care tips for your pet birds. Nya and Einstein talk about additional winter and holiday concerns for your pets.
November 2001	The first in a continuing series about exotic pets. This month we cover care and feeding for all manner of reptiles: Turtles, iguanas, leopard geckos, and snakes. A new feature, "Notes from the desk of Nya and Einstein" warns about some of the seasonal hazards to your pets.
October 2001	This month we discuss: the dangers associated with Halloween chocolate, heartworm prevention for your dog, the benefits of microchip ID implantation, financing your pets health care, and a new treatment for canine anemia.
September 2001	As September is Senior Care Health Month, we discuss the special needs of your senior pets, as well as the impacts of feline hyperthyroidism, canine arthritis, and Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) in dogs.
